Rescue for North Bay Beagles is continuing our mission to rescue dogs in need and place them in loving forever homes. During the eighteen months we have been rescuing dogs, we have saved over 60 lives. However in order to continue our rescue operations we need your help!

PLEASE DONATE TODAY!

Emotions run deep in our struggle to save abandoned, abused and special needs hounds. Now we are reaching out to you to help us financially so we can save more dogs that are coming our way over the summer.

We would like to share with you three of our most recent adoptions so you can better understand what saving a special needs dog encompasses.

LadyBug, now known as “Gabby”, was rescued from West Virginia just in time to save her life. Ladybug survived two surgeries, treatment for Lyme disease, and a long recovery, but she now has a loving home with a retired couple in Southern California. She is healthy, happy and loved. The cost to save LadyBug was $1,300.

Artie was in a high kill shelter in Kentucky, surrendered by his owner because he was going blind. Artie was described by the shelter volunteers as having a wonderful personality, but no one was stepping up to adopt him because of his disability. We, however, did! After many tests for Artie at UC Davis Hospital he was diagnosed with retinal degeneration, an incurable condition that will lead to total blindness. He has become our official “Rescue Ambassador” as he is a symbol of what we do and why we do it. Artie’s rescue costs totaled $1,200.

Lexi is a tiny “pocket beagle” who we rescued from Kentucky. She came to us with a fractured shoulder, most likely due to being kicked or thrown. This diagnosis came after many visits to our vet for x-rays and blood tests. Since her rescue, she has been adopted by a retired couple in the Bay Area who are providing her with daily physical therapy to help her heal. Now she has a forever home with people who adore her and who are committed to her long-term care. Lexi’s rescue costs totaled $1,500.

Donations make our work possible!

These loving and happy dogs just need a chance to find the loving families they so deserve. We are hoping to give that second chance to many more dogs this year. We hope you will join us in this effort!
  With gratitude,
Pamela
