It’s never too early to start a Christmas project so in this newsletter we are introducing some our latest Christmas fabrics and oh my, have we got some crackers for you! We also have sooooo many new ranges we have decided to split this round-up into two with the second half appearing in a later newsletter. As with all our patchwork weight fabrics they are all printed on a high quality 100% cotton, sourced from the best manufacturers. Enjoy!
Smart, clean, classy designs make these Danish prints perfect for so many Christmas projects. There are 18 prints to choose from plus an easy, but very effective advent calendar - simply fold and stitch up the lines to create the pockets. This year we have a 10" Patchwork Palette of 20 fabrics plus Fat Quarters in different colourways.
If you are looking for something to contrast with the black/gold prints of Christmas Wonders then these Sparkle designs, also from Stof, work very nicely. These three cool designs also have a metallic gold overprint.
And then there is Snowy Magic with animals in jumpers... of course! It’s a small group of five designs, just enough for a little Christmas project that will raise a smile. Also available as a Fat Quarter pack.
Winter Cottage is an absolute delight - a quintessentially English country setting complete with red post box and a robin (robins are a rare find on a fabric print). The 60cm panel, (below left) is supported by 8 coordinating prints. The two are combined in our Winter Cottage Quilt Kit (below right) which measures 55" x 75" - lovely!
Looking for something to keep out the chill on cold Winter nights? Winter Whimsy is printed on brushed cotton (flannel). The panel features three hilarious Scandinavian gnomes that also appear on the coordinates in a crisp palette of grey, red and white. They also take centre stage in our quilt kit that measures 66" x70". A must for anyone who enjoys a good snuggle!
Bethan Janine applies her smart, contemporary style to Christmas flora and fauna with Skogen, a small collection of 9 designs in cool colours with a contrasting red and a gold overprint to add a touch of sparkle. Skogen is also available as a 9 Fat Quarter pack, below left. Also from Dashwood are these two panel prints, below. The Merry & Bright panel is an interesting take on the advent calender: cut out and stitch a backing of your choice to the 24 bag fronts and add ribbon to create a drawstring bag for each. Fill with treats and arrange as you wish on a string or hang individually.
If pre-cuts are your thing then we have no less than four new Christmas collections from Moda, all available in 5" Charm, 10" Layer Cake and 2-1/2" wide Jelly Roll formats.
We also have some adorable Christmas Critter panels for the Merriment collection. Gingiber’s signature style shines through in these panel designs that include an advent calendar and critters both large and small.
Hoffman really do raise the bar with their stunning designs and colouring and Winter Blooms is no exception. Eight prints, all with a silver metallic overprint make the perfect choice for that special Christmas project. All eight designs are featured in our Winter Blooms Fat Quarter pack.
Rebecca Jones’ latest collection is all about the animals. This double panel is sure to be a big hit and would make a great centre for a quilt. The 60cm panel features two identical images, each approximately 55 x 60cm. We have six coordinating prints that are also available as a Fat Quarter pack.
Another panel features in Lake Caribou, but this time the style is very different. Santa’s reindeer wait patiently for their master in the serene, atmospheric image. Two other coordinates are available for backing and binding to make this into a charming wall hanging.
