We are getting closer to Season 2017

The ESFA competition kicks off on March 31st for O35 Friday League,(separate Sunday League for 2017) April 1st for the Saturday league and April 2nd for the Sunday league.

Registrations are now open on MyFootball Club. This season we have maintained our low player registration fees (compared to all Clubs), however we shall be adopting a "no pay, no play" policy. A community club is equal to all.

Our AAM Championship squad have already begun their preseason trials and now  all Senior Teams begin their trials and training at Matraville Sports High School this week (enter through gates on Burke Street)

If interested in AAM Championship contact our new B Licence First Grade coach Guillermo Rubio (G) 0481 395 398, Reserve Grade Coach Paul Fasullo on 0421 744 450 and Greg Dennis 0410 480 698 AAM Championship Coordinator are eager to get the season started after last season taking out the ESFA Cup for the second consecutive year and looking to consolidate a top four finish in the League. Can we bring home the ESFA Championship trophy in 2017 and  defend the ESFA Knockout Cup?

AAM Championship will also be entering the Westfield FFA Cup with Round 1 scheduled for March 11th - more details to follow.

On a far sadder note, in the strong belief that football is family, we offer our sincere sympathies and thoughts to Glenn & Janet Cox on the tragic loss of their son Emersen. Glenn currently plays for Maroubra United O45 Gold and has roots within football in the Eastern Suburbs, as did Emersen for many years. Dunbar Rovers NPL will be holding the Emersen Cox Cup on Sunday 12th February. It would be a great opportunity for the Maroubra football community to support the Cox family. For further details, please email secretary.seniors@mufc.org.au. May Emersen rest in peace and may Glenn and his family feel the support and love of his football family at this sad time.

Is 2017 our hat-trick year for ESFA Cup MUFC AAM Championship?

Congratulations to Maroubra United's very own Lidia Ivancic, as recipient of the Australia Day Randwick City Council Young Citizen of the Year Award to Services to the Community.

Lidia, daughter of former MUFC president Mary and O45 Green's John (Lidia may have learned a lot from examples set), has often been seen at Coral Sea Park giving back to the community.
We can learn a lot from the youth of today about volunteering and community.

Our committee is small and often time poor, if you wish to lead by example set by Lidia (throughout her life, not just football) and you wish to assist, please contact secretary.seniors@mufc.org.au

Well done Lidia from all at MUFC!

Maroubra United Football Club is a volunteer, non for profit organisation and needs your help.

Come assist our 2017 Committee:

Coaching Courses and Referee Courses 2017

If you are wishing to attend ESFA Coaching or Referee Courses, email
secretary.seniors@mufc.org.au for more information.(congrats to Aaron Devanay from our Prems, for his referee accreditation for 2017 - another player leading by example). Attending both courses will be beneficial to the individual and the Club.
If you attend a coaching course, the club will pay for the course, should you register with MUFC as a coach in season 2017. If you coach a team within the club having reached FFA Coaching Accreditation, player registration fees may be reduced, especially when assisting any of our junior teams.
