Message from the Principal

Liberty Park Families,
As we continue to enhance the safety of our building visitor procedures you may notice some changes this week.  Our visitor intercom system has been updated and is located just outside the building. This means when visiting us you will now need to buzz the intercom outside the building and be prepared to show the appropriate identification as you enter.  As a reminder, please do NOT hold the door open for other parents coming in.  Other changes to our visitor system will be coming soon and we will share further updates as they become available.

Have a great weekend and as always, I thank you for your continued support of Liberty Park Elementary!

Your Principal,

Jason Brooks

September is the National Attendance Awareness Month.  LP will be having some exciting attendance incentives to help teach students the importance of attending school every day.  Check out this website with some great information for schools and families on attendance.

Below is our attendance rates for each grade level for the school year so far:

Kindergarten:  96.2%
1st Grade:  96.8%
2nd Grade: 95.7%
3rd Grade:  95.7%
4th Grade:  98.2%

Students who attend school regularly have been shown to achieve at higher levels than students who do not have regular attendance.  Every school day counts in a child's academic life.  A missed school day is a lost opportunity for students to learn.  The effects of lost school days build up one absence at a time on individual students.  Please ensure that your child understands the importance of good school attendance and is at school every day.  Every day matters!  Every day provides important learning opportunities!  Set your child up for success by developing these good habits now!
