What’s Happening Wednesday!

Dinner & Conversations

There is a lot happening in our city right now regarding confederate monuments. Hear directly from our CEO, Dr. Kimberly Allen, about the current status in Jacksonville and make sure you mark your calendars for next Tuesday evening to attend our Ramadan dinner in partnership with Sel and Angie!

Race Cards & Ramadan

We have far more in common than we differ. This is an evening to explore those commonalities and look for ways that we individually can work toward making Jacksonville a better community. In partnership with Sel and Angie Buyuksarac, we are hosting An Evening Without Labels: Friendship and Gratitude Ramadan Dinner. Sel and Angie have hosted these dinners for years in their home to build relationships, get people talking, and share some about the tradition of Ramadan. We are excited to partner with them to bring this opportunity to the 904WARD family. The dinner is free but spaces are limited, so register today!

This event will also sponsor a Little Free Diverse Library site! Please bring a book to donate to get our community reading about other people and other cultures. From early childhood books to adult fiction or non-fiction, we want to install libraries across Jacksonville that represent the richness of our cultural fabric and share the stories and perspectives of all people. So, bring a book and get ready to talk and eat!
