Watching the seasons click is one of our favourite things- it's when the kids venture back to school and we try to hold onto the last bit of summer. Whether you're looking forward to fall or you're still not ready to let go of the flip flops, we hope you make the best of September! 

The FCCA is so excited to be moving forward with a new website and 2 more events this month. We hope you have a chance to check it out for yourself!

Findlay Updates
A Site Plan Control application has been received to construct a 67,000 sq.ft, two-storey elementary school with a daycare and space for 12 future portables at the corner of Miikana Road and Kelly Farm Drive.

Our new and improved website launched this past Wednesday and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out! We worked hard over many months to provide you with up-to-date information about our community, the resources we have available, our Board Members and much more. Many thanks to our wonderful website developer, ItsPaul for his amazing work and collaboration.

You know what sparks joy for us? Giving new life to your old belongings with our upcoming Fall Garage Sale on September 25th starting at 8am. There's no time constraints, so stay out as long or as little as you like! 

Bear with us as we develop a Google Form to distribute to register your home on so that others can find you. Look for updates on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
 
Our Rock & Roll Skate Party was a blast! We turned our skate rink into a roller rink and rocked out! We can't say a big enough thank you to our volunteers, DJ "The Alchemist" for adding musical flair and Business Partners who sponsored the event: Robertson Rent-All and Ratul Dutta, Investment Advisor & Financial Planner. 
Ottawa Updates
Ottawa is paying respects and honouring the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada, on Thursday, September 8th by lowering all City of Ottawa and federal flags to half mast.

Queen Elizabeth made 22 official visits to Canada and 13 of those were to Ottawa between 1957 and 2010.

Residents can also leave Messages of Condolences online at ottawa.ca.  

 

Did you know you can vote by mail? Any eligible elector can request to vote by special mail-in ballot between Thursday, September 1, 2022, and Friday, September 16, 2022 at 4:30 pm.

How to apply

To apply online, complete the Application for special mail-in ballot(link is external).

Your name must appear on or be added to the Voters’ List in order to apply and receive a special mail-in ballot. Click the “Am I on the Voters’ List?” button on the Application for special mail-in ballot(link is external) homepage to verify, amend, or add your information to the Voters’ list. Following this step, you will be able to continue with your application for a special mail-in ballot.

Otherwise, we look forward to encouraging all our residents to get out and VOTE!
