REASON #5 – It's important.
18 organizations are supporting the Infrastructure Forum because they know the importance of leveraging infrastructure investments, which includes the member associations of OCSI: Municipal Engineers Association (MEA), Municipal Finance Officers’ Association (MFOA), Ontario Good Roads Association (OGRA), Ontario Public Works Association (OPWA), Ontario Water Works Association (OWWA) and Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO).
REASON #4 – Big picture thinking
. It’s not just another conference or training session. It’s a “Think Tank” where the best in the industry are in the room to discuss, share and collaborate. It’s a multi-disciplinary approach and you will not likely experience the vast diversity of folks at any other event! The event will publish an Outcome Statement to ensure that we don’t lose the momentum from the event. (By the way, this year we are building on what was discussed at last year’s event.)
REASON #3 – Great value.
Great speakers, networking, thinking outside the box, interaction with provincial staff, big picture thinking and being part of creating the Outcome Statement. The food at the venue is amazing! And the view of Lake Ontario is lovely, too.
REASON #2 – Easily accessible, convenient.
Event timeline designed to avoid traffic (from 10am to 3pm). The venue is accessible by TTC and GO Transit. Parking on-site and convenient for folks to drive from 3 hours away.
REASON #1 – It's what you do.
Municipal infrastructure is important to you and you work in the area of: finance, operations, public works, consulting, contracting, provincial policy or elected to municipal government.
