- Albany Wine Walk & Upstairs Loft Tour in Historic Downtown Albany, May 6, 2016, 4 – 8 p.m. Taste samples from over 20 local wineries in downtown Albany. The Loft Tour, sponsored by the Albany Landmarks Commission, is free. Wine walk tickets are $15 per person, get them today at the AVA.
- National Train Day at Albany Station, May 7, 2016. Hop on Albany’s vintage trolley with Bill Maddy and Albany railroad historians for a narrated ride on historic Albany railways. The Albany Regional Museum and Albany Visitors Association will have info on train travel today and years gone by. Admission is free; concessions available.
- Historic Downtown Walking Tour of 1st Ave. May 18, 2016, 7:30 p.m. Meet at Burkhart Square (Lyon and First Ave) to learn about Albany’s historic architecture.
- Central School Centennial Celebration, May 19, 2016, 6-9:00 p.m. Travel back in time with Central Elementary as it celebrates 100 years! Enjoy an ice cream social, a May Pole dance, and a sing-along medley of old songs from the 1900's. Plus, tour the 100-year-old building and discover the contents of the school's time capsule.
- Monteith District Walking Tour, May 21, 2016, 11:00 a.m. Explore Albany' s architectural history and learn about preservation history on this 45-minute walking tour. Meet at Albany Farmers’ Market information booth.
