The consultation on the Aberdeen Local Development Plan: Proposed Plan, Proposed Delivery Programme, and Environmental Report runs until 11:59 pm on 31 August 2020. There are seven more weeks to submit representations on these documents. They can be viewed on our website.
We have also been working on a story map. A story map is an information tool which allows users to interacted with and understand the Proposed Plan's map based policies. It should not be considered as a substitute for the Proposed Plan but as a complementary tool to aid understanding. The story map can be viewed here.
Representations should be concise, generally no more than 2,000 words, (plus limited supporting documents). They should fully explain the issues you wish to be considered as there is unlikely to be an opportunity to expand on these comments at a later stage. Representations must include a name and contact information (postal or email) to be considered valid. Anonymous comments cannot form part of the Examination.
Comments can be submitted to us online at:
http://consultation.aberdeencity.gov.uk/planning/ proposedplan2020
or by email to: ldp@aberdeencity.gov.uk
Postal submission should follow the guidance given in the 'How do I respond?' section of our Advice Note.
The implications of The Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020 as well the national policy of social/physical distancing means there will be no public meetings or drop-in sessions for the duration of social/physical distancing policy as they may give rise to a significant risk of the transmission of coronavirus. Where possible, correspondence, communication and publicity (including public inspection of documents) will be by electronic means.
In light of this, the Local Development Plan Team are meeting with Community Councils online to discuss the content of the Proposed Plan.
