Dear <<First Name>>,

Palm / Passion Sunday begins Holy Week, a time in the church year when we remember how Christ gave his life in love for the world. As this service opens, the crowd waves palm branches, wanting to crown Jesus as king. But as the story of the passion unfolds, their shouts of praise turn to demands for his crucifixion; he receives a crown of thorns as he is handed over to be mocked and killed.
The question is frequently asked, Why combine the passion and the palms?
Not only is it in accord with historical tradition but, more practically, many people simply do not attend worship on Good Friday. The result is that, for them, there is a distortion in the story. A story that skips from Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem to Jesus’ resurrection from the dead evades the question, What happened in between? If we leap from Palm Sunday’s “Hosannas” to Easter Day’s “Hallelujahs” we overlook the pivotal event of Christ’s suffering and death on the cross.
Where the long tradition of reading the whole passion narrative on Palm/Passion Sunday is appropriated, congregations have found the value of hearing the entire passion story… Join us this Sunday as we seek to affirm the inseparable relationship between Jesus’ death and the joyful hope of his resurrection.
See you in worship!

One Great Hour of Sharing

This Sunday is the day we will officially "collect" our One Great Hour of Sharing offering, a special offering sponsored by the Presbyterian Church for over 70 years.

The three programs supported by One Great Hour of Sharing - Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, the Presbyterian Hunger Program, and Self-Development of People - all work in different ways to serve individuals and communities in need. From initial disaster response to ongoing community development, their work fits together to provide people with safety, sustenance, and hope.

May Trinity make this our most generous offering ever. You will find a special tab to give online via our website here. The offering will be delivered after April
10 (Palm Sunday).

Please join us in our sanctuary Sunday at 10am. Trinity is committed to providing a safe environment and to ensure a welcoming and inclusive worship experience for all.

The following health and safety guidelines will remain in place until further notice.
  • Masks (preferably disposable surgical) are to be worn indoors at all times - this goes for those who frequent the church building during the week as well.
  • All monetary gifts can be offered via the QR Code available in the Sanctuary and on the livestream OR online here.
  • Those gathered for worship will exit the building (this includes the Narthex) immediately following the Postlude to greet each other outside as weather allows.
If you are experiencing symptoms, are self-isolating due to travel, or have had close contact to a confirmed positive Covid-19 case, please refrain from attending in-person worship.

Centering Ourselves for Worship

Each week, throughout the season of Lent, there will be reflection stations set up in the Narthex with materials intended to help you and your family prepare to worship God. All are encouraged to arrive early and make use of these stations. May this practice aid in centering your spirit, that you might enter the sanctuary and walk through this season in a worshipful manner.
