North Valley Region Tobacco Partners Join Assemblymember Gallagher's Staff for Local District Days
North Valley Region partners recently met with Assemblyman James Gallagher’s office to discuss local tobacco work in Butte, Colusa, Yuba, Tehama, Glenn, and Sutter counties. The discussion focused on tobacco retail license, tobacco product waste, and tobacco smoke-free multi-unit housing work in these communities.

Special thanks to Anna Tadeo from Butte County Public Health, Esther Craig from California Health Collaborative Si Se Puede Project, and Marissa Maxey from California Health Collaborative Leadership in Equity, Action & Development (LEAD), for dedicating their time to share about their important local work.

RISE Success Stories Available
We would like to remind our partners that RISE success stories are available on the RISE website (linked below). Rural communities have made significant strides in the effort to reduce tobacco use rates and RISE Success Stories celebrate those accomplishments. Please review the most recent Success Stories that focus on policies passed in rural areas to discover the steps taken and lessons learned. In the future when you have successes in your community, please reach out to a RISE team member, so we can highlight your hard work in a formal Success Story.
