National HIV Call In Day
March 21, 2017

What if we told you your voice mattered, even in this political environment.  Would you speak out?  If you knew 24 million people could lose their health insurance if the ACA was repealed and replaced by the American Health Care Act (AHCA), would you place a call to save healthcare access for people living with HIV?  We need you to make three calls, to take 30 minutes to be a hero in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
NMAC is not a sponsor of this event, but we are sending out this request because its that’s important and we want to support our colleagues.  There is too much work for any one agency, it’s important to support your colleagues doing good work.  The HIV Health Care Access Working Group, AIDS Foundation of Chicago, AIDS United, NASTAD, HIVMA, The AIDS Institute, and TAEP are organizing an HIV community wide call in day on March 21st to urge Congress to oppose the Republican’s repeal plan (AHCA).
You can find out your Members of Congress here.

Use the “Protect HIV Care Hotline” (866) 246-9371.  When you call, you will be prompted with a short script and instructions.
AIDS United (AU) has posted the link to the script and surrounding materials

Last week we asked you to be part of HIV Action Day and speak truth to power.  If you are going to join us on September 6th, start your journey by calling your members of Congress on March 21st as part of the National HIV Call-in Day.

Yours in the struggle,

Paul Kawata and Matthew Rose
