Serve All', a group of volunteers from Sri Sathya Sai Sevamrutham, participated in the relief work, in and around Chennai, which deformed the city, its neighbouring districts in the state, and a few cities in Andhra Pradesh, in the middle of November 2015, for almost two weeks at a stretch.

Mr Issac Tigrett, Founder of Hard Rock Cafe and House of Blues was the first speaker for the evening, who shared his thoughts on the theme ‘Brotherhood of Man and Fatherhood of God’. He spoke of his own Christian upbringing and Jesus, his first Master. “Today, people had forgotten the essence and message of Christmas and the holy day is reduced to partying, food etc.,” he said. Highlighting a unique aspect of the Sai family, he said, “Each one of us have a special and unique bond with the Lord, and this should be extended to seeing Swami in everyone else.” He ended his talk offering his gratitude to Swami for coming into his life, and being with him in his personal and professional journey. Spreading the Warmth of Love!
Mahatma Gandhi said, “To find yourself, lose yourself in the service of others.” Sri Sathya Sai Sevamrutham youth from Kolkata decided to do just that, and spread love on Christmas Day! Blankets and home-made cakes were distributed to the deprived and impoverished on the streets of Kolkata. The activity started exactly at midnight on Christmas morning, and continued unitl 3.30am!
The team went around the city, covering close to 30 kms across southern and central Kolkata, to look for people who did not have a roof over their head, and found shelter under the sky. A painful sight to see street children wrapped in plastic sheets to save themselves from the biting cold, spreading the warmth of love with the underprivileged, certainly brought much cheers into the lives of the youth!
