A Note From The Project Lead

After the Summer BigDataEurope will hold the remaining four workshops in this first round of such workshops across Europe. In the meantime, engagement with stakeholders in all societal domains is being upped to a higher level. A series of Webinars is planned for the coming months to discuss each community's big data challenges and opportunities, and available technology, as well as to learn more about evolving data limitations, pitfalls and concerns. Activities in the seven established W3C societal interest groups are picking up pace; as these takeover as the main fora for communication and discussion. Internally, results from the workshops, surveys and personal interviews are being analysed to shape the architecture of the BigDataEurope technology platform, by identifying the missing components and functionalities needed to address the requirements of each community.
