Dear all,
Several calls from the Research Council of Norway were due this month, and created a lot of activity from researchers at our department, including myself. The nation-wide general practice research environment proposes a Primary Care Research Network, and applied to the Infrastructure program for 107 million NOK over 5 years. IGS is the coordinator for this project, which is in line with our new research strategy.
|
|
|
In addition, our department is involved in two more infrastructure applications and several researcher projects. Good job, everyone!
Concerning the Helsecampus Årstadvollen (HCÅ), the working group at IGS has now regular meetings almost weekly, to ensure that the information to architects about our needs is based on our current and future needs. Please let us know if you have any concerns that may not have been addressed yet. The process is going quickly these days.
Guri Rørtveit
Head of Department

(The Centre for Elderly and Nursing Home Medicine (SEFAS) participated actively in Norway's Research Week in September. Activites included a Post-it Board for school-age participants to state how they thought old and sick people should best die! The consensus was "at home - because then they could be with Family".
SEFAS also has 3 articles in the recent Norwegian nursing journal)
