<<Full Name>>,

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to a side event on the occasion of the 40th session of the Human Rights Council, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child with a panel discussion titled: “Ending Violence against Children - The Contributions from Religious Communities”.

The event will be held on Wednesday 06 March 2019 from 16.30 to 18.00 at the Palais des Nations in Room XXI.

The panelists will reflect on the connections between religion and child rights, and on the role of religious communities to challenge social and cultural norms that condone violence against children. They will discuss some of the concerns and reservations made on religious grounds to the Convention on the Rights of the Child and share good practices of how religious communities have contributed to its promotion and implementation.

Please see below further information about the panel and sponsors.

We would be honored by your presence or, in your absence, of a representative from your Mission.
