October Weather in Ireland

One of the many things I love about serving the Lord in Ireland is the weather. Most of you who know me, know that I love jeans and layers of clothes and often looked out of place in Sunny Florida. Ireland's mild temperatures call for jackets and hoodies year long, and it also calls for us to expect the unexpected and to keep rain gear nearby!

I have acclimated to the weather here and I love it. The average temperatures this summer were high 60's and 70's. And I thought that was hot and couldn't remember how I coped with the Florida heat.  In the last few days, the temperature has shifted to Autumn weather, and it's been 50's and low 60's and dipping in the '40s at night.
Some of the trees have begun to change colors, of bright reds, oranges and yellows. And once the wind picks up, the leaves will quickly begin to fall.

Last week I hosted a couple from the US. Sam Rotman and his wife were on a whistle stop tour around the country. Sam is a world calss pianist and goes around playing Sabastian Bach by mustle memory and shares his testimony. He will be coming to Florida if you would like to hear his testimony and him play.
Below is a picture of two very dear ladies,  who helped to establish the church here in Cavan. Please pray for Gillian, the one right behind me, she lost her husband unexpectedly. He was 22 years older than her and they lived a good life for the Lord together! She and I serve at a  Mom and Tots group every Thursday morning. It has been a joy to get to know her and see God's faithfulness to her during this time of great loss.
