Hi,
The big news of this week was that the Plaza finally opened! After being washed and cleaned, we got our tables and chairs, set up some festival lanterns, put up some speakers and started playing some music.
Throughout the day, hundreds of people stopped by and we heard over and over from people about how beautiful the Plaza was and how it transformed the space. Check out the highlights in the pictures below!
The highlight of the day was certainly an energetic Zumba class, no small feat on one of the hottest days of the year! We also had a delicious cooking class (jalapeño corn salad was the recipe of the week!) and many people signed up for our food bag program.
In the coming weeks, we hope you stop by the Plaza to dance to some Zumba, grab a bite to eat and look at how this Plaza transforms the space. If you are interested in volunteering to host an event (a movie screening? a day of board games? Chalk paining with kids?), please get in touch.
