A Furlough Update

Dear friends and supporters,

As you can see, we have opted for a new format for our monthly newsletter.  We hope that this new and improved Southern Cone Connection newsletter will help us keep you better informed as to what God is doing in our family and ministry. Here is a quick summary of our praises during these first four weeks of our furlough.

We praise the Lord for his protection and care as the volcano, located close to camp, erupted a few days before we left for our home assignment.  Be in prayer for Angelo and his wife Fabiola as they care for the camp and our house in our absence.  The volcano is still being watched as it continues to have small eruptions.

We praise the Lord for his goodness as we arrived in Florida and spent a week getting our feet on the ground at the mission's headquarters.

We praise the Lord for his provision of new meetings to present what He has been doing in Lican Ray.  We enjoyed our time at Community Baptist Church in Hixson, TN and also time with Liz's sister and family.

We praise the Lord for the generosity of friends of the mission, David and Lisa Shedd, who offered their home on the outskirts of Washington DC for a home base as we took two days to visit our nation's capital and its museums.

We praise the Lord for the rest He provided as we stayed at High Point Camp in Pennsylvania.  We enjoyed a fun visit with GMSA missionaries on deputation, Dathan and Allison Marshall.  Pray for them as they seek support to go and serve in Argentina.

We praise the Lord for opportunities to serve and share as we are now in Columbus, Ohio.  Danny will speak to the men's group at Westerville Bible Church this Wednesday.  We have also had time to relax and work on the next stage of our furlough schedule which will take us to Ontario, Canada.  We are thankful for Mark and Bekah Perry's hospitality.

Thank you for your prayers and support during this time back in the United States.  Our travels will take us to Canada, then down to Arkansas and following a family reunion in May we will make our way west to Washington State.  We covet your prayers as we commend our ways to the Lord.
