The Southern Cone Connection

Thankful For...

God's Unfailing Provision

Dear friends and faithful supporters,

In only a few short weeks, many hundreds of people will come to camp Lican Ray.  God knew that we would need help to get everything ready and we have watched how He has provided in many different ways.

First,  He sent Jon and Joy Jackson from one of our supporting churches in the Pacific Northwest.  They were key in getting the camp cleaned up for pre-summer use.  Jon weedeated around the grounds and pressure washed the main meeting hall. Joy cleaned windows, straightened up cabins, and scrubbed the camp kitchen.  They were invaluable to us and we thank the Lord for sending them down to help.  Would you consider being used of God as they were?

Second, God also provided some funds from churches in the United Kingdom which allowed us to paint the main meeting hall.  This hadn't been done in years and gave the main meeting hall a much needed face lift.

Third, young people, who have served as camp staff in the summer, also came to lend a hand. They scrubbed cabin floors and waxed them, removed dangerous trees near cabins, and helped straighten up our storage/tool shed.  We are thankful for the opportunity to disciple and mentor these young people as they come and stay with us over a weekend.

Finally, God provided spiritual fruit to the ministry.  This month three churches have used the camp so far and one more will be coming next week.  These churches come to camp for spiritual and physical refreshment.  Many use the lake to celebrate transformed lives during baptismal services.  We are thankful for the privilege to host these churches and serve them during their time on camp.

Thank you for your prayers as we continue to serve and work.  We look forward to seeing what our great God will do through the camping ministry in Lican this summer.

Transformed Lives

UCB Lican Ray

God did a marvelous work in the hearts of Viviana and Felipe.  Liz has taught and prayed with Iris, their mother, for them to come back to Lord and He answered.  We rejoiced with the whole family as they followed the Lord in believer's baptism.
