Hurlers on song

Through to Championship Quarter Finals

After Junior B Championship success in 2013 and promotion to AHL4 for the first time last year, 2015 is proving to be another successful year for the club hurlers. Our A hurlers are top of AHL4 after their away victory over league leaders Naomh Jude last weekend. They are also through to the quarter finals of the Junior A championship and will face Kilmacud Crokes. Our B hurlers are second in AHL8 behind Naomh Barrog and will have a home quarterfinal in the Junior F championship against either Cuala, St.Finians or Réalt Dearg after topping their round robin group. Pictured are the A hurlers after their AHL4 victory over Clanna Gael-Fontenoy last month.

On the Páirc

All-Ireland U21 Winners in the Club

Cluain Tarbh were delighted to host the Áth Cliath Faoi21 Peil na mBan team who won the Aisling McGinn All-Ireland title on June 21st. It is a great honour for the club to have three more All-Ireland medallists. Comhghairdeas Katie, Margaret & Sarah.

Leinster Hurling Final

Paddy Smyth made recent history for the club as he represented Cluain Tarbh on the Áth Cliath Minor Hurling Team that narrowly lost to Kilkenny in the Leinster Final on July 5th. Paddy is only 16 but is now first choice centre back after some fine performances for the Boys in Blue in friendlies during the winter and league in the spring. Paddy had an excellent game in the final on what was a proud day for the club and the Smyth clann. Áth Cliath will face Aontroim in the All-Ireland Quarter Final in Breffni Park, Cavan on July 25th and we will hopefully see Paddy line out in Páirc an Chrócaigh again this summer.

Féile Success

Our Faoi14 buachaillí followed up their Roinn 2 Féile win with victory in the regional Féile held in Ballybay, Monaghan last month. They defeated Scotstown (Monaghan), Omagh St.Endas and had a great win in the final thar Sallins (Cill Dara).

Our Sponsors

Nolan's of Clontarf sponsor Camogie

CLG Chluain Tarbh are delighted to renew our partnership with our oldest club sponsors Nolan's of Clontarf. If you have visited their premises on Vernon Ave recently you may have seen the pop-up stand within the entrance. As Camogie has been recently re-introduced within the club we are excited to partner with another Clontarf institution in promoting what we hope will be another successful game on the páirc for Cluain Tarbh. We would like to thank all our members and the wider Clontarf community who supported our bagpack on the day of our launch. http://www.clontarfgaa.com/Sponsors/Nolans

Many of the team came from a GAA background and Fiona is no exception and since retiring from International rugbaí she is back playing Peil na mBan with Cluain Tarbh.

Since we started this for fun two summers ago the Cluain Tarbh colours have been everywhere from Niagara Falls to the beaches of Rio, from the Great Wall of China to Skydiving in New Zealand. This summer we'd like to see if someone can plant a pin in our map in Russia, the geansaí dearg in Red Square perhaps? Check out our holiday album here/anseo.
