Pumpkins are Back Bigger and Better in 2016, and More...

Based upon the overwhelming success and attendance of the “Enchanted Pumpkin Garden” this past October, the Carefree Town Council unanimously voted on February 5, 2016 to extend the Town’s relationship with world renowned sculptor and artist, Ray Villafane, for events through 2016/17.  Mark your calendars to attend a one-of-a-kind exhibit by the world’s pioneer in Halloween culture, featuring new creations that will sure to amaze and take last years Halloween exhibit to a new level.
Rated by Phoenix Magazine as one of the Valley’s Top 10 Things to Do in October 2015, the Carefree Desert Gardens were the home of one of the most dramatic and enjoyable Halloween displays in the entire Valley – and country for that matter. Ray will also be working year round on seasonal exhibits in the Gardens such as Sand sculptor and possible a snow exhibit during the Christmas festival. We are excited that Ray has chosen Carefree as his creative playground and look forward to magical surprises ahead!

Congratulations to the English Rose Tea Room!

March 1, 2016, will commemorate the 14th anniversary of the opening of the ever popular English Rose Tea Room! Jo Gemmill, owner, has hosted many great events over the years, even members of Parliament
Her unwavering dedication to her staff, guests and community shows in every scone and cup of tea served and we are proud to say the Tea Room consistently is rated Top in Arizona. Jo has also given her time to the Town as Director of the Christmas Festival for the past 8 years and has continually brought new visitors to "take tea" and walk the Gardens.  We appreciate all Jo does and what a unique gem in the desert she has created! Stop by and congratulate her and her great staff on many more successful years.
