Dear Subscribers, Uniting Churches around Australia closed this week after Australia's National Cabinet approved tough new guidelines for public gatherings to slow the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19.

In the weeks ahead, as we seek to re-establish social and spiritual connection amid an indefinite period of physical distancing and isolation, we will be increasing our newsletter distribution to twice a week.

We are also updating the Assembly website to point visitors to the latest resources and messages, as well as stories of hope from our scattered worshipping communities and ecumenical partners.

If you have content or material you'd like to share, please get in touch.

WCC affirms prayer at home

NCCA Prayer Call

All Australian church members are invited to offer prayer every evening until Easter at 19:00 hours in their time zone.

  • Those mourning the loss of loved ones, as the toll from the pandemic mounts in Australia and around the world.
  • All those who find themselves out of work and unsure of how they will provide for themselves and their loved ones. May we offer them safety, security and solidarity.
  • All those who seek to sustain our social and spiritual connection amid this time of physical isolation and distancing.
