ASSEMBLY CIRCLES OF INTEREST

Making Christ's love known

Meet Cyrus Kung and Tansy Chen: two young UCA leaders finding new ways to do mission and church in the heart of Adelaide.

They share some of their hopes and reflect on the gifts of their cultural heritage.

"Sometimes it can be hard, knowing that everyone in the tribe knows your issues, but it can also be the greatest treasure.

"Like when your aunty asks you why you’re still single yet will cook you a delicious meal when you’re sick. Or that grandpa that tells you you’ve gained weight but will drop everything he’s doing when you ask him for help."

"Life post NYALC has been a whirl-wind experience, sending me to so many events and bringing me so much growth.

"When we returned to our Synods we were invited to a dinner with all the QLD delegates and our Moderator. Rev. David Baker urged all seven of us Queensland delegates to attend the 34th Synod.

"For me there was a slight hiccup in the plan – I was not baptised. "

PRAY

God of the everything
In your time help us to see your plans for us
In your wisdom help us to know we are valued and important
In your love surround and envelop us

Where the pressures of life, relationship, career, study, future, budget, and more constrict us
In your divine grace help us to lean into you
For it is only in you that we will find rest

In your time
In your wisdom
In your love

Amen
