Advancing nonprofit mission with Booth expertise
Dear <<First Name>>,
I am happy to virtually “meet” you as the new Director of BANC as of May 1 of this year. BANC's Co-Founders and previous Co-Directors, Gayle Haller and Judy Maley, stepped down after starting and building this organization over the last 6 years. I am honored to take on the role of Director and continue moving BANC forward.
Gayle and Judy left very big shoes to fill. BANC has reorganized and now has a 15-member Operating Board consisting of functional committee co-chairs plus additional members-at-large. The key contact people for former, current and potential clients are the co-chairs of the Nonprofit Relations committee, Gail Luxenberg and Ching Yue. Learn more about their expertise and experience below - and please feel free to reach out to them.
If this is the first BANC newsletter you are receiving, welcome to the BANC family! We welcome your feedback, suggestions and questions. Please contact us at banc@chicagobooth.edu.
Sincerely,
Robin Simon, '89 |

Gail Luxenberg, University of Chicago AB'79; MBA '00, has focused her career on nonprofit management and successfully led large organizations in Seattle (Habitat), Atlanta (JCC), and Chicago (JVS). She is now a Chicago-based Executive Search Consultant helping nonprofit organizations build high-performing teams. Gail worked on two projects for BANC before joining the Operating Board. In addition, she is on the Talent and Finance Committees of Thresholds and works with the Booth Fellows Program.

Ching Yue, University of Chicago MBA '96, has primarily spent her career in the technology sector setting roadmaps and developing product marketing strategies. Volunteering with BANC offered her the opportunity to give back to the communities around Chicago and has been a very rewarding experience. She was the project leader on one project and participated in two others, and has been part of the Steering Committee/Operating Board since 2016. As co-chair of the Nonprofit Relations committee at BANC, she looks forward to working with nonprofit organizations to help them grow and thrive.
