Exciting Changes to U.P. Food & Farm Directory

UPFE Partners with Taste the Local difference

The UP Food Exchange has found a great opportunity to improve the UP Food & Farm Directory through Taste the Local Difference, a local food marketing enterprise based out of Traverse City, MI.  Starting this year, Taste the Local Difference will take responsibility for publishing our yearly guide. It will be called the "Guide to Local Food in Northern Michigan".  The guide will encompass the UP and Northern Lower Michigan with the UP having its own section.

There is no fee for farms in this new format, however other businesses will no longer receive a free listing in the directory/guide.  Both farms and businesses are invited to advertise in this publication. We believe that Taste the Local Difference’s leadership on this project will provide great advertising value by extending market reach in print and online. This professional and attractive guide with its expanded features and options will draw attention to the amazing local food work that all of you are doing here in the UP.

To find out more contact TLD Operations Manager Tricia Phelps at tricia@localdifference.org.  For information about advertising, please contact drew@mynorth.com . The deadline for being included in this publication is March 11.
