TOP SHELF

Warner Bros. / Warner Music Nashville recording artist Chris Janson hosted an intimate “New Music Preview” event at one of his favorite restaurants, Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse. VIP guests were the first to hear new songs from Chris' forthcoming album, as well as his unique gift of story-telling, with the conversation being led by Leslie Fram, SVP, Music & Talent, CMT. “Good Vibes” was announced as the lead single, which will be shipped to country radio and available at all digital media partners on February 8th. Chris' humility and sincere gratitude were part of every story. “I’m blessed every day I wake up,” says Chris. “To get to write songs and play music and be part of this special community of creative people is all I ever wanted. We are so grateful for the support. I’ve never had a ‘new music preview’ party before, and it is such an honor to share these new songs with people who have helped me get here.” Also, Chris recently signed an endorsement deal with Hohner. As a special gift to attendees last night, he gave every guest an exclusive custom Chris Janson Hohner harmonica.

Friends, family and industry gathered at the Tusculum Strike and Spare in Nashville to celebrate Kane Brown’s third consecutive No 1 single, “Lose It,” with the record-smashing artist and his fellow BMI writers Will Weatherly and GRAMMY-nominated Chase McGill. Hosted by BMI, the party featured heartfelt congratulations from some of the writers’ longtime industry associates, including BMI’s Leslie Roberts and Josh Tomlinson, RCA Nashville SVP of Promotion Dennis Reese, and publishers Ryan Beuschel of Warner Chappell, Ashley Gorley of Tape Room and Kent Earls of Universal Music Publishing. The chart-topper marks Weatherly’s first number one and McGill’s third, albeit his first celebration. As with BMI tradition, Weatherly and McGill were each presented with a BMI-emblazoned Taylor guitar to commemorate the occasion.
