TAILGATE WATCH

Reaching new tour heights as a headliner, Chris Lane celebrated yet another SOLD-OUT show on his wildly successful BIG, BIG PLANS TOUR at Nashville’s Marathon Music Works. Bringing his high-energy live set chock-full of hits, Lane also had several surprises in store for the packed crowd; a dream proposal, his nephew showing off his dance moves at the mic, and more. During “Big, Big Plans,” Lane helped make a fan’s dream on-stage proposal come true while the audience swooned. Feeling the love, Lane brought up his wife, Lauren, as he finished out the song inspired by their relationship. Celebrating his GOLD-certified #1 smash “I Don’t Know About You,” Lane invited hit songwriters Ashley Gorley, Hunter Phelps and Jameson Rodgers – who penned the song alongside Michael Hardy – on stage, while the sea of fans sang along to the song’s chorus.  Wrapping the night with his PLATINUM-certified collaboration “Take Back Home Girl,” Lane was joined by labelmate and BIG, BIG PLANS TOUR special guest MacKenzie Porter.

BUZZIN

As Brantley Gilbert hits the road on his Fire’t Up Tour, he’s challenged his team to reimagine every element – including what fans don’t see, behind the scenes. As America’s heartland struggles to find its footing, Gilbert is partnering with Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC) to purchase a selection of products for catering on each concert stop, spotlighting the value locally sourced meats, dairy and produce can make on each community. Alignment with FVC is a natural extension for BG given the longstanding support the superstar has shown for men & women in uniform. Charged with curating farming’s next-generation via mentorship of returning military veterans, the spirit of FVC is displayed HERE in a video set to “Tough Town,an album track from Gilbert’s new album Fire & Brimstone (The Valory Music Co.).

LAST CALL

Wanted to share my Kobe tribute that went up via USA Today this morning: "The weight of expectations can be an inescapable burden to carry. Kobe taught us that for every triumph, there comes a price. He is the fourth highest scorer in NBA history and also holds the record for the most missed shots. But it was in those misses that Kobe learned the lessons he would need to make the next shot he took. That’s what I think about when I remember what Kobe Bryant meant to the world. To approach life with fearlessness. To embrace adversity. To never let the noise deter you and to use it as fuel for the journey. To never be afraid to seize the moment and take the big shot..."
