Sunday Mornings
For those who have not attended a Sunday Morning Adult Class, we'd like to invite you to join other brothers and sisters for a time of diving deeper into God's Word and  teachings on topics that will help us in our walk. Everyone is welcome to #divedeeper into God’s Word Sunday mornings before or after Worship.

Join a 5-Day Club this summer.  For ages 5-12, there will be two Clubs to choose from on the same date/time: Monday - Friday, July 8-12, from 10:00a - 11:30a.  One will be held at Leah Payne’s home  and the other will be held at Ann Rocha / Erica Hang’s home.  5-Day Clubs meet for 90 minutes every day for five days.  They are Bible-centered including Bible lessons, memory verses, songs, fun activities and games.  Sign up, bring a friend and consider hosting your own neighborhood 5-Day Club next summer.   This is sponsored through our Missionary, Sarah Tener, working with Child Evangelism Fellowship.  Sign up in the foyer or call Leah or Ann for any questions.

Bonnie & Craig Tinder will be hosting a Young Adult Group, Thrive, for the Summer on Monday nights (beginning June 10) at their home at 7 pm.  It will be similar to Iron Men but co-ed and for adults in college/20s. Please invite those who fit that category, or come yourself, if you fit that demographic.

Please contact Craig with any questions.

Elder's Corner
In 2008, the EFCA adopted a revised Statement of Faith.  Pastor Manny is currently preaching through the 10 articles of this Statement of Faith. Over the last year, as elders and as a church, we have been discussing the possibility of formally adopting this 2008 Statement of Faith and putting it into our church constitution in place of the 1950 Statement of Faith.

In a few weeks, the EFCA will be voting on another revision to the Statement of Faith. In the proposed transition, rules for implementing this revision (if it is adopted), the following statement will read as follows:

"Even though existing member churches will not be required to adopt the revised Statement of Faith, the Conference expects that every church will seriously consider the desirability of adopting the revised Statement of Faith out of a spirit of commitment to the EFCA and to each other.  This would be in keeping with the intent of the EFCA Bylaws, which state that all Evangelical Free churches have a common Statement of Faith (Article I.1)."

The elders are currently working on a revision to our Church Constitution, which would replace the 1950 Statement of Faith with the current Statement of Faith.  Also, we are considering adding another section entitled "Practical Theology" which would give more specifics about our beliefs in areas such as marriage, gender, sexuality, and the sanctity of human life.  We feel that this is important in the current cultural and legal environment.

We hope to have a proposed draft available soon and are looking to vote on the changes at the Annual Business Meeting in September.  Stay tuned.

Ministry Enhancement Plan
Ministry Enhancement Plan

How Does The Ministry Enhancement Fit Into Our 3-Year Vision?
Cornerstone, in the next three years, will create a culture that inspires Christ-like believers whose lives reveal God’s goodness and equips mature leaders who multiply to impact our community and beyond. We will strive to develop strong leadership while further equipping our saints for the works of service. Our ministry enhancements are tools that will assist us in our journey to disciple our own and reach the lost. We want to utilize our facility in the most efficient manner. Repurposing rooms helps people make better connections. Additionally, an expanded foyer encourages people to make personal connections within the congregation. First-time visitors and newcomers will have a welcoming atmosphere to meet others.
For complete information and to participate in the Ministry Enhancement Plan with your much-appreciated donation, please visit the Cornerstone Website and click on Give/Building Fund. Please note that giving envelopes labeled "Ministry Enhancement - Building Fund" are available and may be found inside the friendship folder in the Worship Center pews or at the Welcome Center.
