Elder Corner

By Frank Tessien

We are bold to serve. Have you taken the spiritual gifts test yet? Knowing your spiritual gift(s) is a good place to start being bold to serve Him. We are called to be good stewards of our gifts and the roles that we play in God's kingdom as we use them. Remember, spiritual gifts are for the edification of the body. "Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others." (Romans 12: 4-5 ) If I do not use my gift, the body suffers. We have many opportunities at Cornerstone to serve. We need ushers at both services on Sundays to greet and welcome visitors and offer information about our church. The welcome center in the foyer is operating with only a handful of volunteers. These are smaller commitments that will benefit us all and you can do them. Take your pick: global outreach, AWANA, Sunday school, VBS, nursery, ESL, youth worker, Knit Wits, life groups, Bible studies, committees, and boards... You get the idea! The body needs you!

Women

As women ministering to women, we want to inspire each other to grow in our desire to love and serve the Lord Jesus in the way that He has uniquely created us, equip each other through the study of God’s Word to live in obedience to Him, and spread the good news of Jesus’ saving grace to those with whom we interact, as well as deepen our community within Cornerstone as we grow in unity.
