Mater Dei's Newsletter
(April 8, 2021 - Easter Octave & Divine Mercy Novena)

We hope you are enjoying the Easter Octave, making of each day in it, a true Easter Celebration! For most of us, in our lifetime, our prayers have never been so important for America and the world! Keep them coming! The news media persists in publishing stories that continue to increase our anxiety levels, but whenever we are confronted with the anxiety of an unknown future, we should never forget that we are children of God! Our Abba (Daddy) is in control! And since He is in control, let us learn to trust Him! Remembering and meditating on this fact should be enough to fill us with peace and joy! In the mean time, we must pray! Right now we are in the midst of the Divine Mercy Novena! Please pray it for souls and your own soul! We can also pray constantly by offering all our work, all our pains, all our setbacks, for the sins committed against the Sacred Heart of Jesus! We must make a better effort to make more acts of sorrow and acts of reparation, and always speak the truth with charity! Trusting in Divine Providence may not be easy, but it is attainable, with God's Help. For nothing is impossible for God!
Divine Mercy Sunday is upon us! Prayerfully consider one of our 2021 Pilgrimages to Poland with visits to Lithuania or Czech Republic. If you have any concerns or questions regarding travel during Covid-19, please feel free to contact us via phone or email!

Until recently, passport applications were taking up to 5 months! This was due COVID-19 closures of Passport offices. You can now apply for routine service and expect to receive a passport in 10-12 weeks. You also have the option of paying an additional $60 for expedited service to receive your passport in 4-6 weeks.

These processing times apply to applications submitted by mail and in-person at an acceptance facility in your community. Most acceptance facilities such as post offices, clerks of court, and libraries are open and accepting passport applications.

All of passport agencies and centers are processing passport applications. To prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect our workforce and customers, we are prioritizing in-person appointments at our agencies and centers to customers who are traveling internationally in the next 72 hours (3 business days) due to a life-or-death emergency. Many agencies and centers are offering a limited number of appointments for customers who have urgent international travel in the next 72 hours (3 business days) for reasons other than a life-or-death emergency.

Currently, most airlines are operating with Covid-19 safe rules in place. Hepa filters make airline travel very safe now. However, most of the countries we have pilgrimages to, are still closed to US Citizens, without a quarantine requirement, due to Covid-19. If these countries remain closed to US Citizens during the registration deadline of each pilgrimage, it is very likely then that Mater Dei Tours will need to postpone the pilgrimage.

Thank you for your support and prayers for our apostolate! We will be praying for all your intentions at every Mass during our pilgrimages!
