Congratulations to Heather Aberg, who was voted Leader of the Year at the March 5 Honoree Celebration.  Aberg is the founder and Executive Director of Resilience 1220.  With suicide now the leading cause of death for Colorado youth, Resilience 1220 is addressing a national public health crisis.  Licensed therapists provide free counseling services to youth ages 12–20 in the mountain communities west of Denver,  working to raise awareness of the social, emotional, and mental-health issues young people face, and to provide the necessary life skills to create wellness and resiliency in their lives.
Aberg has run a monthly support group for many years for those who have lost a loved one to suicide. She was a bereavement counselor with Mt. Evans for twenty years and had a private practice for over seven years. To read more information about Resilience 1220, click

On July 19th, 2010, Dr. Jeff began living totally barefoot to show solidarity and bring awareness to the plight of children being held as sex slaves around the world. His organization has contributed to the rescue of over 2,000 children, teens and young women.
