Shareholder Interest in ESG Continues to Increase

CERES and US SIF, two of the most influential and widely respected organizations involved in responsible and impact investing released their latest trends reports this quarter. US SIF’s 2016 Biennial Report on US Sustainable, Responsible and Impact Investing Trends outlines the growth in dollars and stakeholder interest in responsible investments. In addition, CERES’ continual monitoring and updating of ESG related shareholder resolutions shows the increasing and specific expectations of shareholders well into 2017. Public companies should take note of topics shareholders are interested in and use this information to prepare responses and strategies for 2017 and beyond.

BrownFlynn Book Project: on the Home Stretch!

Stay tuned for the public launch of our new book, Uplifting Leaders* (*Who Happen to be Women), in early January 2017. In their new book, authors Barb Brown and Margie Flynn share a thoughtful collection of candid insights and advice from 25 of the nation’s most powerful and influential women in business who have succeeded both in the workplace and in life. And, in recognition of BrownFlynn’s 20th anniversary this year, all net proceeds from the book will be donated to the YWCA Greater Cleveland to support the education of young women aging out of foster care through their NIA Program—Nurturing Independence and Aspirations. To learn more about this unique project and the women involved, please visit our website.
