BrownFlynn Joins Forces and Expands Impact

We've covered a lot of ground since our last newsletter, including entering into several new strategic partnerships with some of the field’s most highly influential and well-respected organizations. We're also continuing to 'walk the talk', having signed on to the "Ditch the Disposable Bottle in 2015: A Year of Clean Water Pledge" spearheaded by Sustainable Cleveland, the Cleveland Water Alliance, and organizations across Northeast Ohio.

In this Newsletter:
Who are our new partners? Where can you find us? How can we help you?
Who are our new partners?
Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship (BCCCC)
BrownFlynn and BCCCC have partnered to provide GRI-certified and CDP training courses to for-profit organizations across the country. According to BrownFlynn Principal and Co-Founder, Barbara Brown, “Partnering with BCCCC, the first U.S. academic training partner for GRI, is a win-win for both the Center’s members and BrownFlynn’s clients. Since BrownFlynn was founded in January 1996, we looked to BCCCC as the academic thought leader on corporate citizenship. As pioneers in this burgeoning industry, our collective knowledge sets the bar for quality sustainability education and training programs.”

Katherine Smith, Executive Director of BCCCC: “BrownFlynn will bring valuable strategic business insights and technical sustainability ‘know-how’ to our public courses and workshops. Members seeking to improve their environmental footprint and the quality of their reporting will benefit from their expertise.” DETAILS

Our first public collaboration is a GRI G4 Certified Program on May 19-20 at the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) in New York. DETAILS

We're also conducting a workshop at BCCCC’s 2015 International Corporate Citizenship Conference April 19-21 in Austin, TX, titled “Assessing your Value Chain: Impact Mapping to Improve your Strategy and GRI G4 Reporting” the afternoon of April 21st.

In December 2014, BrownFlynn partnered with Nasdaq and Microsoft to hold a webinar discussion on sustainability and reporting. The success led to a collaboration on a quarterly webinar series in 2015. Evan Harvey, Managing Director, Corporate Responsibility for Nasdaq OMX, said “This is a great opportunity to leverage the expertise of BrownFlynn to not only educate Nasdaq listed companies, but also investors and other market participants. We recognize the material nature of sustainability issues within our own firm and want to help other organizations – public and private – recognize both the opportunities and challenges faced in the changing global economy.”

The next webinar, entitled “Modern Due Diligence: How financial markets are analyzing and incorporating non-financial corporate performance data” will be on March 30th at 11:00 am EST featuring Nasdaq, Bloomberg, and Blackrock representatives. DETAILS

ESG Research Specialists
As the market matures, BrownFlynn has entered into new partnerships with two leading data providers, RepRisk and Trucost. These new partnerships enable us to add critical perspectives regarding risks associated with public perceptions and natural capital valuation for our clients, and stay on the cutting edge of developments in the sustainability field.
