Dear Friends

Wishing you all a fun festive season and a super 2016, hopefully with some invigorating experiences in the great outdoors.

We've had a fantastic 2015 - see below - and are eagerly looking forward to our exciting safaris next year.  I will be guiding three safaris in South Africa in 2016.  July and August tours have already filled, but there are still places on an extra departure we added in September 2016 - don't miss out, contact us today to join this safari!

South Africa Safari 17 Sep - 2 Oct 2016

This is a 16-day safari explores bushveld, forests, lakes and beaches of remote and wild Zululand; a community owned camp in the rugged Ubombo mountains in Swaziland; and world famous Kruger National Park and an adjacent private safari lodge. Look forward to immersive wildlife experiences from open safari vehicles, boats, canoe, on bush walks and from photographic hides, which is where the rhino cow and calf (see pic above) was taken this year. Priced from only US$3,900. See 'Upcoming Safaris' on our website or contact us now for details.
2015 Safari Highlights
This year had us leading a safari in Uganda and Rwanda to see the incredible diversity of primates, birds and other wildlife thriving in this part of equatorial Africa.  Trekking through mud, steep slopes and dense forests made our up close encounters with Mountain Gorillas and Chimpanzees so much more rewarding.  I can't wait to get back there again in 2017 and 2018.  We'll send details in the new year but please send us an email if you're interested.
We also had an awesome time in Zululand and Maputaland in eastern South Africa.  Nothing beats sitting quietly at a hide overlooking a waterhole in the dry season.  One never knows what will come down and drink and there's plenty time to wait for great photographic moments or simply observe the animals and birds.  The hides in Mkuze Game Reserve and Tembe Elephant Reserve invariably deliver the goods - Tembe is great for Elephants (often mud bathing) while Mkuze offers a superb variety of species.  Over a couple hours we saw Zebra, Wildebeest, Warthogs, Impala, Nyala, Kudu, Giraffe and White Rhino, including this one with attendant Red-billed Oxpeckers.  Why not experience these hides with us in 2016 by joining our South Africa Safari.

We specialise in tailor-made safaris so contact us if you'd like to work with us to plan a trip of a lifetime.

Take care over the festive season and have a great start to 2016.

Cheers
Martin
