A Word from Our President

The holidays are over and the pools are crowded with the New Year's Resolution swimmers!  This is a great time to welcome them and invite them to swim with U.S. Masters Swimming!  What a better way to get  in shape than with a group of very nice, fun, and welcoming swimmers?  We love swimming; why not share our love of the water and make the world just a little better?  Too corny?  Then how about invite them to join you, so your team grows and gains a cool new member?

We are now taking nominations for the 4 elected GRIN Board positions - Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.  Please see below for the nomination procedures. I will be running for Chair,  Karen Gernert will be running for Secretary, and Sue Pollard will be running for Treasurer.  We need Vice Chair nominees as Meg Carlson will not be running.

Make sure your team takes part in GRIN's 1st Annual Winter Postal Challenge!   The USMS One Hour ePostal is also going on until the end of January - what a great way to gauge your fitness!  You don't have to travel to a meet!

Finally, Adult Learn to Swim in coming to Indiana!  As a new Lead Instructor, I will forming an Indianapolis-based Beta class in early March. Let me know if you are interested in a class close to home!

Swimmingly,
Lisa L. Brown
