In 2014, only 29 percent of BSD and Pritzker alumni were actively involved with the University of Chicago. As of July 1, 2019, the number has increased to approximately 70 percent. The fiscal year 2019 MBSAA report shows how alumni continue to help build a stronger community by attending events, making gifts, volunteering their time, and connecting with the University and fellow alumni from where ever they call home. Vicky Prince, PhD, dean and director, Office of Graduate Affairs, Division of the Biological Sciences, and faculty members, Stefano Allessina, PhD, and Stephanie Palmer, PhD, created a video on the benefits of the BSD's orientation program for incoming graduate students at the Marine Biological Laboratory for the 2019 Stem for All Video Showcase. The fifth year of the Quantitative Biology Bootcamp (QBio@MBL) will welcome 90 trainees to the MBL from September 8-15, 2019. Join the MBSAA for a tour and cookout at the MBL on September 14. The MBSAA welcomed back 200 alumni, friends, and guests for the 2019 Pritzker School of Medicine Reunion. The weekend included several events for alumni to connect with classmates, students, faculty, and campus.

Orientation for the Pritzker School of Medicine Class of 2023 began on August 1 with a "clap-in" to welcome the 90 new students. New students were introduced to campus and the University through programming led by the Pritzker Orientation Co-Chairs before celebrating their White Coat Ceremony in Rockefeller Chapel on August 4.Learn more ►
The MBL is a world-renowned center dedicated to the biological and environmental sciences. Learn about the research happening here and the center's partnership with the University of Chicago during a guided tour, followed by a cookout with BSD trainees and faculty.
Medical alumni who would like to connect with their classmates and help generate enthusiasm for their upcoming Reunion are encouraged to participate on a Reunion Committee. Committees also help shape their Class Celebration and are a great volunteer opportunity for alumni in any location. Next year's Pritzker School of Medicine Reunion will be taking place June 5–6, 2020.
