HEADS-UP!
Issue 3
29 JANUARY 2016

Text
Mark Mortimer

Thank you to all those people who have offered feedback about HEADS-UP! It is much appreciated. Please contact Emma Brumby if you do have any comments. It appears that some readers have mistakenly thought the newsletter consists only of my words, which would make for a thoroughly underwhelming newsletter! Please scroll down to read about everything else that is happening – there is a lot going on as you will see, particularly on the sport, music and drama fronts.

This Saturday we host a prep school Under 9 hockey and netball festival in the morning, while also putting out a grand total of twenty-five netball, hockey and football teams throughout the day. The action starts at 10 a.m. with the 1st & 2nd VII netball teams against St Mary’s Shaftesbury and culminates at 2.30 p.m. with the 1st and 2nd XI hockey teams taking on Downside, fresh from their superb victories against King’s Bruton. Please do come and watch if you are free.

It was lovely to see a good number of parents in the Thomas Arnold Hall earlier in the week for a lecture by Mike Blair, the executive producer of ‘School Swap’. More details are below. May I also flag up the forthcoming WSPA Quiz & Curry night on Friday 5 February and please make a note of the dates of ‘Cabaret’, Friday 18 & Saturday 19 March at 7 p.m. in the TA Hall.

Please do scroll down to read more about what is going on at the School, as well as find out about Mr Kemble and his trusty surfboard!
