Friends, I didn't mean to be gone so long! I let the holidays and the relatedsewing consume me and once that was all done, I guess I just needed to 'be' for a bit. But I missed you, and have been saving up some good things to share!
I barely made the deadline for the latest Curated Quilts mini challenge, creating confluence in the space of just a couple of days. She didn't make the cut, but the spontaneous making was totally worth it.
And then. Begun with the Bee Sewcial bee last summer, I finally finished The Homage Quilt. Inspired by the liberated patchwork style of Gwen Marston, it has delighted me since I first announced the prompt, and I'm beyond tickled to have it complete.
When Martha/[onceawingnut] opened her swap gift at our Seattle MQG holiday party, there was a collective "WOW!" She had received a unique and stunning collage quilt made by Erica/ [ricaroo.quilts] and it was something to behold. Erica used her micro scraps to create the 15" square quilt, holding them down with matchstick quilting.
Zina/[zanymouse]madethis quilt for the QuiltCon Michael Miller fabric challenge and I like it SO much! Yup, I've been back several times to grab another look!
