It seems like the year's end is racing towards us. The project list feels weighty, and I haven't even begun to think about the holidays. I keep reminding myself to embrace the moment, while filling too many of them to overflowing. Here's hoping we all can find times to pause in the busy-ness.
The wedge quilt by Sandra/Small Town Thread incorporated a beautiful and plentiful array of fabrics and involved improvisational cutting. Sandra cut 9.5x6.5" rectangles and then randomly cut them into wedges. [sandra_smith]
Sacred Heart by Christina/A Few Scraps caught my eye because it's so unique and striking, but the story behind it tugged at my heart. Be sure and take a moment to read Christina's post, and then, if you're a MQG member, check out Christina's webinar, Wedge Quilts Go Modern on the MQG site - all about wedge quilts, including the techniques she used to create this quilt.
