During a recent updating in my studio, I mentioned to hubby that I now had room to sort and store my scraps - at least by cool, warm, and neutral. I was surprised he had strong feelings about it! Apparently he has an opinion and a fondness for my big jumble of a 'scrap basket' - for which this newsletter was named. Random but true!
This issue of The Scrap Basket is very topical - a whole gaggle of flying geese! But first . . .
It took me long enough, but I finally got a tutorial posted for the most recent version of my "Spiraled" series. Just click here.
Now on to those flying geese, one of the basic quilting building blocks! Starting with the most basic, Pat/Pat Sloanhas a straight-forward tutorial for single sew and flip flying geese. There's even a video(!) plus a handy 'formula' for making geese one at a time. [quilterpatsloan]
And last, but by no means least are the intricate paper-pieced geese by Kelly/jeli quilts. Many done in minute detail, you'll find a variety of delightful patterns in Kelly's Craftsy shop. [jeliquilts]
