Xavier seventh-year head coach Chris Mack was selected as the 2015-16 USBWA Henry Iba National Coach of the Year. CBS Sports and Basketball Times magazine also bestowed their National Coach of the Year honors on Mack. Mack was named as the BIG EAST Conference Coach of the Year by CBS Sports and Bleacher Report.
Mack, who has led Xavier to its highest national poll rankings in school history and best-ever highest NCAA Tournament seed, has recorded a 162-77 (.678) mark over seven years and stands second on Xavier’s all-time wins list.
Mack, 46, has led Xavier to the NCAA Tournament in six of his seven seasons at the helm, including the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 in 2010, 2012 and 2015. He is the only Xavier head coach that has led XU to three Sweet 16s and he has more NCAA Tournament wins (7) than any XU head coach. Mack is very familiar with postseason tournament play. In fact, 2016 marked the 17th NCAA Tournament for Mack, including three as a player and 14 on the coaching staffs at Xavier and Wake Forest.

Rotary Roadshow, September 15, 2016 ~ The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati Come join us at the all new location of The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati, located at 4015 Red Bank Road (45227). The Children's Theatre contributes to the vibrancy and cultural vitality of our region by providing children and their families with arts-exposure opportunities through performances, workshops and art-making experiences. Their new facility (and it's 150-seat house) will allow them to offer more classes at optimal times, as well as a small theatre to expand the reach to include preschool and high school audiences through productions created specifically for these age groups. These productions will run longer than their MainStage productions at The Taft Theatre and Rotary Club of Cincinnati members will be some of the first in the city to see this new space and to enjoy a short performance of Anne Frank by the talented Children's Theatre company. We'll also enjoy a buffet by Hilver's Catering, including: assorted chicken salad, roast beef, ham, turkey & vegetable croissant sandwiches and wraps, bow-tie pasta salad, garden salad, potato chips and assorted desserts. Registration deadline is Friday, September 9, 2016. To RSVP, click here:The Children's Theatre Roadshow Registration.
Grant Applications The Rotary Foundation provides grants to non-profit organizations for use in the Greater Cincinnati area. Our funding priorities are for programs, projects, equipment or materials that directly benefit children, particularly those with physical, mental, emotional or social challenges. We may, on occasion, fund other requests that support our mission. Organizations interested in applying for a grant need to fill out our application, which can be found on our website and submit to us along with required documents electronically. The next deadline to submit applications is Thursday, October 6, 2016. For questions, please contact Janet Burns email@example.com.
Be a Thursday Meeting Sponsor! A Thursday Meeting Sponsor would be a business owner, a professional person or an association leader. The sponsorship promotes vocational fellowship and networking for our club members. The benefits are many: The company logo displayed on the pre-meeting slideshow, a business card size advertisement in the Club membership directory, a print advertisement description in the weekly eRays Newsletter, and podium time for a 60-second commercial! For further information and to select a Thursday date, please contact Jack Berger at 513-271-1566.
Where in the World are all the Rotary Traveling Wheels??
