Recent years have shown the old Middle Eastern order has all but collapsed in the face of political revolutions, disintegration of traditional governments, violent civil wars, the emergence of the Islamic State and the Iranian nuclear threat. Traditional ideological, religious, geographic and political lines have been blurred, with some states descending into chaos and others emerging into previously unthinkable alliances based on mutual interests and common foes. These new rivalries and rapprochements provide ample challenges for the Unites States and other Western countries which will need to re-evaluate their foreign policy in the region. Professor Gilboa will explore these challenges in their historic context, and what role the United States and allies may play in the new Middle East.
The Cincinnati Enquirer recently interviewed Professor Gilboa. Click HEREto read the article.

January-June 2017 Dues Invoices - DUE DECEMBER 15, 2016 We recently emailed invoices for your Rotary Club of Cincinnati dues (and prepaid lunches where applicable) for the period of January-June 2017. We sincerely appreciate your continued membership in the Club and look forward to seeing you at the exciting events we have planned for 2017! Please note the due date of December 15, 2016, on your invoice. While we have been able to be somewhat flexible in accepting late payments in the past, unfortunately because of changes in Rotary International's billing process, this must be a FIRM deadline. Rotary International now automatically charges our Club for members on our roster at year-end with no exceptions, so we must now complete our billing much earlier than in the past. If you are unable to pay your invoice by December 15, 2016, please contact the Rotary Office or you will automatically be assessed the $35 late fee. Why not pay your dues online today? Just click this secure online payment link to conveniently pay your invoice: PAY MY DUES.
