Meal Packing Event

Stop Hunger Now gets food and life-saving aid to the world's most vulnerable people, and works to end global hunger in our lifetime. Established in 1998, they have provided over 180 million meals in 65 countries. This Thursday, November 5, 2015, we will travel to Stepping Stones UCP Campus in Norwood (2300 Drex Ave, Norwood-45212) and package 20,000 meals during our regular luncheon meeting time of 12:00 noon until 1:30p.m. We are still in need of several volunteers to attend and help package meals. The Rotary Club of Cincinnati has a very active World Community Service Committee.  Projects have ranged from partnering with the University of Cincinnati to install solar powered water wells in Ethiopia to buying laptop computers and a printer for St. Simon School in Jamaica. This committee also serves as hosts for Rotarians visiting Cincinnati from countries outside the United States including a Japanese Rotary Foundation Global Grants scholarship postgraduate student/doctor who is conducting lung cancer research at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.  The World Community Service Committee is pleased to support the Stop Hunger Now meal packaging event to help provide much needed nourishing food to those in need. Hands-On-Service - Thanksgiving Day
Be truly thankful this year by Vision Screening on Thanksgiving Day at the Fall Feast in the Cincinnati Convention Center. Volunteer anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon, the go enjoy with twice the heart with/for your family! Family members are welcome to help. We need four Rotary volunteers each hour. Condon School Holiday Party & Angel Gift Tree
The Condon School Holiday Party will be on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. The Angel Gift Tree will be available November 12 & 19 at the Rotary meetings and wrapped gifts need to be returned to the Rotary office by Tuesday, December 1, 2015. New Meeting Sponsorship Program
To expand the vocational fellowship and networking opportunities for our club members, the Rotary Club of Cincinnati is offering a new Meeting Sponsorship Program for the 2015-2016 Rotary year. This new program will allow the sponsoring member to network prior to the meeting, have their company logo displayed on the Rotary Club of Cincinnati website for the fiscal year, have their company logo displayed on the pre-meeting slide show, have a business-card size advertisement in the club roster, print advertisement (including a 1-2 paragraph description of the company) in the weekly ERays newsletter, and deliver a 60-second commercial at the sponsored meeting (video, slide show, or live presentation).
