Why develop just one Smart City?

India is developing a network of 99 smart cities. A core infrastructure will deliver smart solutions to more than 99.6 million people. This involves an investment of over USD 27 billion. Already, 1,300 projects are underway.

Climate Change: A growing storm

In early October, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (ICCC) reported that global energy-related CO2 emission has risen 21% in the past 12 years. The report referenced 6,000 sources and was the work of nearly 100 scientists.

Orlando publishes its 2018 Green Works Community Action Plan
Since 2007, the Green Works Orlando initiative has saved over $1 million in annual energy costs. It also expanded free downtown bus service, completed a commuter rail project,  and converted hundreds of vehicles to hybrid, natural gas, or electric.
LEED EBOM Gold again brought home to OCCC
The Orange County Convention Center (OCCC), recently re-certified its 3 million sq ft north-south building as LEED EBOM Gold. The 2018 recertification team included professionals from the convention center, TLC Engineering, along with Mital Hall, Sarah Hamoui, and Jeff Benavides of ecoPreserve

Portland, Oregon generates renewable energy in its water supply
Drinking water propels the small hydroelectric generators. Turbines within downward-sloping, 3.5-foot-wide water pipes have generated electricity since 2015. There is no impact on fish migration or available water supplies. Relying only on gravity, it provides renewable energy to city residents in all weather and all hours of the day.
