Join us this Tuesday for our last Lenten TNT (Tuesday Night Together) of the season—even if you haven't come to any of the others! Enjoy food, fellowship, and spiritual enrichment centered around the theme of Cultivating and Letting Go. We start with a potluck dinner at 6pm followed by small groups at 7pm.
TNT Small Group options:
– Continuing conversation on the book White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo
– Praise and Worship Singing with Lisa Masotta – Uses and Re-uses of Church Structures with Joel VanderWeele (a look into the history and architecture of churches, what spaces were used for, and how we have re-used or transformed these spaces to function for churches today)
Two opportunities to help...
The RI Ministers Alliance has asked for PPC's help in preparing Care Bags for our neighbors in transition and without housing—specifically with 100 bars of soap or body wash and 100 bottles of shampoo or conditioner (regular or travel sizes). Collection boxes are in the Hope Room. Donations are needed by April 14. Thank you for your generosity!
We are also collecting Books for Kenya: children's books of all types, and Christian adult books. The Kago-Muchiri family is planning to send the shipment May 1st. A collection box is in the Hope Room. Thank you!
Holy Week is approaching, with several opportunities for worship and contemplation during the week. On April 14th we will celebrate Palm Sunday. From Monday through Thursday (April 15–18), the RI Ministers Alliance will hold nightly worship services at 7:00pm at Calvary Baptist Church (747 Broad St., Providence). The Thursday service will include foot/hand washing and Communion. On Good Friday (April 19) the RI Ministers Alliance will host a Good Friday Seven Last Words service from 12:00–3:30pm, also at Calvary Baptist Church. Seven ministers from throughout RI, including Pastor Shavon, will preach the final words of Jesus on the day of the Crucifixion.
On Saturday, April 20th, 10:00am–12:00 noon, come to the church for a sweet time of celebration and fun for all ages at the PPC Community Easter Celebration & Egg Hunt! Friends welcome!
If you have never experienced the Easter Sunrise Worship Service at Swan Point Cemetery, consider coming to this beautiful and serene ecumenical celebration of Christ's Resurrection. It starts at 6:00am. PPC will also have its own later Easter Worship service at 10am.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Marianne Harrison Tech & Communications Committee
