For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Dear PPC Community,
Lent begins Wednesday! Are you ready? This Wednesday, March 6th, we will have our Ash Wednesday worship service at 6:00 pm with distribution of ashes.
Our Lenten TNT series (Tuesday Nights Together) will take place at the church on March 19, March 26, April 2, and April 9. Join us for food, fellowship, and spiritual enrichment! Each evening will start with a potluck dinner at 6pm followed by small groups at 7pm exploring the theme of Cultivating and Letting Go.
Presbyterian Promise will hold its Annual Meeting on Sunday, March 10, at 3pm at First Presbyterian Church in New Haven. Rev. Michael Piazza will speak on "Not Quite Equal: What’s Next" – A dynamic pastor, spiritual visionary, and social justice advocate, Rev. Dr. Piazza explores the ways our movement stops short of building full equality and how we can begin to create a vital, welcoming future for the church. The next church should be faithful, hospitable, educated and vibrant. But how do we get there? What is next? Refreshments & fellowship follow. Contact Dan Blackford about carpooling from PPC. For more information visit presbyterianpromise.org.
Pledges of financial support for the ministry of PPC are still needed to meet our 2019 goal of 48 pledges. Pledge cards and return envelopes may be found on the tables at the church entrances. If you have any questions about pledging or donating to the church, please contact Financial Secretary Dan Blackford at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Marianne Harrison Tech & Communications Committee
