This weekend our Season Seventeen, Episode 5 Chef's Dinner is Island Bound...Caribbean cuisine is packed with both bold flavors and fresh ingredients. We'll be listening to the music of the islands while dining on some of Chef Tyler's favorites, like Shrimp Escabeche with Carolina shrimp and Chef's BBQ sweet potato chips.

If you need a refreshing libation for the summer, try Rick's Ginger Lemonade. To get the best flavor, make a batch of Chef Tyler's Ginger Simple Syrup. For something stronger, the syrup keeps in the frig and makes the best Moscow Mules!
Read on for the recipes:
Rick's Ginger Lemonade:
Fill a tall glass halfway with ice then pour 1/3 full of lemonade. Add generous douse of Tyler's Ginger Simple Syrup, a slice of lime, a slice of lemon, and juice of half a lime.  Top with sparkling water and sip 'till refreshed!
Chef Tyler's Ginger Simple Syrup:
Bring 1 C. water, 1 C. sugar and 3 T. chopped fresh ginger to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 1 minute. Remove ginger and chill for an hour until syrupy. 
The Best Moscow Mule:
Add 2 oz. vodka, 1 oz fresh lime juice and 1.5 oz Tyler's Ginger Simple Syrup to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake, and strain into a mule mug or Collins glass filled with fresh ice. Top with 4 oz. club soda and mound crushed ice over the top of the drink, and sip 'till refreshed!

We're excited to announce that Chef Tyler has launched a new “mini-series” entitled Eurail.  Each menu will be inspired by an imagined train trip across Europe with each stop represented by a course. For our first trip we traveled to Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, and Madrid, and over the next 6 months or so we will take another leg along the trip to experience cuisines from across Europe. From Paris to Stockholm, Warsaw, and Milan, cick on the links to explore the destinations and featured protein, then come along for the ride!
