Lunch & Learn Informational Meeting    

The College of Education is offering a Lunch and Learn informational meeting for faculty regarding the new regulations on financial aid. Information shared will assist you when advising students when questions arise regarding financial aid. The Director of Financial Aid, Paul McKinney, and John Daniels, Financial Literacy Coordinator, will be presenting this information. The Lunch and Learn will be held on Thursday, Feb.11th in Fowlkes Auditorium of the Colvard Student Union from 12:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.  Box lunches will be provided. Please RSVP to Paige Watson no later than Thursday, February 4th.

Meet the Staff
Kathy Prater- Instructor, The Learning Center. Born in Effingham, IL., Prater received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Eastern Illinois University, and her master's degree in Reading and Literacy from Mississippi University for Women. Prater currently teaches College Reading and Study Skills, Intermediate Reading, and Study Skills through The Learning Center. When asked what her favorite thing about teaching students at MSU is, she says, "The diversity of students in the classroom and the willingness of students to learn new strategies to make success more attainable." Interesting Fact: Prater studies two different forms of martial arts!
