Meet the Staff

Laura Pate- Coordinating Instructor, The Learning Center. Hailing from Gainesville, Florida, Pate received her bachelor's degree in cultural anthropology and master's degree in English literature from Mississippi State University. Laura has worked with the Learning Center for six years and began working after completing graduate school. She says,"A lot of students feel that the Learning Center is a remedial center, but it's more of a place to focus on academic excellence. No matter how good we may be in academics there are still times where we struggle. The Learning Center offers all types of resources- tutoring, workshops, and seminars- that can can benefit all students." Interesting Fact: Laura is a proud graduate of W.P. Daniel High School in New Albany. Go bulldogs!
